The other day we saw Sprint announce its new Total Equipment Protection Plus plan to it’s consumer. Under TEP Plus Sprint customers can have their contacts backed up and ease of mind if their device ever gets lost. Not to be out-done, AT&T today has announced a new device protection plan of their own. This new device protection plan is pretty interesting because it will allow customers to protect multiple devices, including devices that are not connected to the AT&T Network under one protection plan.
The device protection plan is called AT&T Multi-Device Protection Pack and it will be available starting today, May 23rd. Now pricing for the Multi-Device Protection Pack will start at just $29.99 a month. As stated before, the plan will let you protect devices that are not connected to AT&T’s network, but you will need to have the primary device connected to the network and activated under a postpaid plan. From their customers can pick two additional devices for the plan to protect, that are connected to the AT&T Network. With those two devices under the plan, AT&T will offer support, device location and replacement for the devices. Users can choose for different plan types, Replace it, support it and locate it. Replace it helps you if you need to get your device repaired, or replaced if it is ever lost or stolen. Support it allows you to get technical support for your device via either phone or web support. They can help you with device setup, “how-to” help with back-up, storage and battery life issues, as well as other troubleshooting assistance. With Locate it, you can use GPS Signal to locate, lock, wipe, and sound an alarm on a lost or stolen device. Users can also back up and restore contacts and photos on their device.
This sounds like an amazing device protection plan from AT&T, however with any protection plan there are limits, which we have not yet discovered. We also don’t know which non connected devices AT&T will not protect. Hopefully we will find out more and let you all know!
