Press Render Leaks For The ASUS PadFone X Bound For ATT, Launch Imminent?

After months of dancing around with teasers about their upcoming phone release, the ASUS PadFone X that will be exclusively launching on AT&T has finally gotten a proper press render image which we can thank evleaks for posting on his Twitter feed. We’ve seen a few commercials and ad spots pertaining to the device for the second largest wireless carrier in the U.S. and there have even been a few teaser leaks about the phone from AT&T as well, but this is the first actual press render of the device that we’ve been able to get our hands on and now we know exactly what the phone will look like extremely close up. While this could just be evleaks trying to get everyone excited about the device for AT&T there could also be a possibility that this means the launch is not too far off.

AT&T has been toying with the public for a while about the PadFone X coming to their network sometime this year and quite frankly, many of us probably thought that the phone would have launched by now. The PadFone line of devices is ASUS Phone and Tablet dock combination device that allows you to utilize all your personal and business type stuff from one device essentially, but then dock the phone into a larger display should you ever need or want the capability. This will mark the first ASUS PadFone device to launch here in the U.S. so here’s hoping that ASUS pulled out all the stop with this one and will be bringing future PadFone devices to the U.S. on other carriers.

Just looking at the render, the phone looks pretty decent and it has a nice simplistic design about it. The back and the body of the phone look to be made of a soft touch plastic, then you’ve got the single camera on the back with a single LED flash, and then a camera on the front of course and then the ASUS logo down at the bottom, with the AT&T logo square in the middle on the back, and volume rocker and power buttons on the right side. What do you think of the ASUS PadFone X? Any AT&T subscribers out there wanting to grab this once it launches? We still don’t have a release date yet but it has to be soon with all the commercials and teaser we’ve been getting lately.
