Surprise! OPPO Find 7a Can Indeed run CyanogenMod 11S

Now that we know that OnePlus is actually owned by OPPO. We also could see that the OnePlus One looks a lot like the OPPO Find 7 and 7a. Now we are finding out that the software from the OnePlus One is indeed compatible with the OPPO Find 7a, now that shouldn’t be a surprise. Of course this is a ROM, so don’t expect everything to be in working order, as this is obviously a work in progress.

As most of you probably know, OPPO’s devices do come with ColorOS pre-installed. That’s their custom skin on top of Android, and it’s actually a really good custom skin. But OPPO has always been pretty up front about their devices and how to root them, unlock the bootloader and even promote CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android and other ROMs that are compatible with their devices. So it’s no surprise that CyanogenMod 11S is available for the OPPO Find 7a. Although a few things are broken. Calls, WiFi, Bluetooth and the front-facing camera are all working while the rear-facing camera, NFC and voice wake are not working just yet. I’m sure they will be in due time though.

For those of you that have picked up the OPPO Find 7a, and are looking to flash CyanogenMod 11S onto your device, make sure you head to XDA’s website and find out all the information you need to flash this ROM. Remember that Android Headlines is not responsible for any damage caused to your device. Although if you just want CyanogenMod 11, you should be able to find that over on CyanogenMod’s website as well. If you do decide to take the jump and flash CyanogenMod 11S onto your OPPO Find 7a, be sure to let us know in the comments below how you are finding the ROM, and how stable it actually is.
