Three of ASUS new tablets for their 2014 lineup are ready for pre-order, which include the ASUS MeMO pad 7-inch and 8-inch, and the Transformer Pad TF103. The Amazon pre-order pages are ready for all who are interested so if you have been on the hunt for a new tablet for the summer and beyond, these just might do the trick. Both the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 and the MeMO Pad 8 are going for under $200 which is a pretty decent price, and then there’s the Transformer Pad TF103 which is going for a cool $300. Any of these should do just about any of what most people need or want out of a tablet, but some of the more memory intensive things like games or multitasking, or using programs like Photoshop touch may not be as fast or snappy when using them. That is not speaking to personal experience of course but based off of their entry level price tags and specs.
All three of these new upcoming tablets use Intel Atom Bay Trail CPUs, and they will all be running on Android 4.4. Kit Kat out of the box so at least they’ll be mostly up to date. The MeMO Pad 7 will come with an obvious 7-inch screen, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, miracast capability, and 5MP rear and 2MP front facing cameras. It should also be able to sustain battery life for about 9 hours throughout the day. The MeMO Pad 8 will reportedly be coming with the same toted 9 hours of battery life, and also comes with the same 1 GB of RAM and 16GB of internal space as the MeMO Pad 7. Just about all other specs are the same as well, so that means Bluetooth 4.0 LE, miracast, GPS, etc.
The Transformer Pad TF103 also looks to have the same RAM and storage space specifications, but of course comes with an even larger display than the other two and since it’s part of the Transformer line it will have the Keyboard dock accessory that you can attach it to. Unlike previous Transformer Pads though this one seems to be bundled with the Keyboard rather than without, which is a nice surprise and saves the consumer money for those who like the Transformer line but didn’t like the added cost of the Keyboard dock on previous tablet models. The MeMO Pad 7 will set users back $150, the MeMO Pad 8 is going for $199, and the Transformer Pad TF103 will cost $299.
