Featured Review: Inateck BP1001W Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Today, we are taking a look at a pretty inexpensive Bluetooth Speaker. This is a $17 Bluetooth speaker from Inateck, and as a spoiler, it’s definitely worth the price. This is the white and silver one that I have here, and it’s pretty small but does pack quite a bit of sound in there. I’ve been using it for the past few days during my normal routine of the day where I listen to Google Play Music all day while working. Even watched the Google I/O keynote this year with the sound coming out of the BP1001W speaker. I was quite satisfied with the sound, given that it is a speaker under $20. It’s pretty small too, if you took the Ultimate Ears Boom speaker and cut it down, that’s what the BP1001W basically is. It’s the same size, just not as tall.

The Inateck BP1001W speaker has about 10 hours of battery life on Bluetooth, which isn’t bad at all in my opinion. It supports Bluetooth 2.1 as well so it’s not the most efficient for battery life on the speaker or your device you have connected to it. It does have sound coming out of three sides, which is nice. The only thing I’d change about this speaker is make the top light up, sort of like an equalizer. Now that would be cool. If you check out the pictures below, you’ll see what I mean. On the back we’ve got the charging port, Aux in, and volume and play/pause button. There’s also a mic on the back because you can take phone calls with this speaker. Call quality was about the same as if you put your phone on speakerphone. So not bad at all.

Overall, I think it’s a pretty decent speaker and one I’d recommend to just about anyone that wasn’t looking to spend a fortune on a nice Bluetooth Speaker. Of course there are plenty of others out there that you could pick up, but for under $20, it’ll be tough to find one that’s as good as the Inateck BP1001W which is also available in black.
