Netflix Updates Android App with Revamped UI and a Brand New Icon

This evening, Netflix has updated their Android app with a new UI that looks oh so slick. The update looks really minimal while still looking beautiful. I haven’t really noticed any changes in the speed of the app or speed of movies and TV Shows on the app, but it’s still a welcomed change. This isn’t the first time that Netflix has done a major overhaul of their Android App. They did a huge overhaul just a few months ago, which we all raved about.

In addition to the new UI, Netflix has also brought along some bug fixes, which we typically see in every app update these days. There’s probably also some stability improvements as well. so far the changelog is pretty small, but here’s what we’ve got:

What’s New
– UI enhancements
– Bug fixes
Talk about being minimal, right? I’ve been using the app for a few minutes and it appears that everything is in the same place, it just has a nicer UI. Still red and black, but it’s a black background everywhere. Before the top bar was red and the “Netflix” logo was white. Now that’s reversed, however you only see that in the Play Store icon. In the actual app the title bar is black and “Netflix” is in red. And it looks great. I mostly use Netflix these days for watching movies on Chromecast, so I don’t spend that much time in the app, but it’s nice to see it getting design overhauls every so often. We can always appreciate new stuff right?

How many of you are using Netflix all the time? What about with Chromecast? What are you watching on Netflix right now (I need some suggestions)? Be sure to let us know in the comments below. If you’re looking to update, the Play Store link is below.
