On July 15th – oh yeah, that’s today – AT&T is going to be selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is actually a pretty decent tablet. It does come with the faux leather on the back and sides, like the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition and the Galaxy Note/Tab PRO tablets. I reviewed the 10-inch version a few months ago, and actually really liked it, especially for its price. The 10-inch WiFi model is available for $349, while the 7 and 8 inch versions are obviously cheaper. The Tab 4 8-inch features a 1280×800 resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, which is a quad-core chip clocked at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, along with 16GB of internal storage. But there is a microSD card slot, of course.
AT&T is selling the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 online beginning today, it’ll be available in store on July 25th though. If you’re looking to pick one up, it’ll set you back $369, if you’re looking to buy it outright. If you want to do installment plans, it’ll cost you $18.50 for 20 months. However if you sign a new contract with AT&T, it’ll cost you $269.99. I’d suggest just buying it outright since it is only $369. You’ll save more money that way in the long run. And since the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 isn’t a high-end tablet, I doubt you’ll keep it for close to two years. But maybe that’s just me.
Recently, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile have really been stepping up their game with their tablet portfolio. Which is great for those looking to grab a tablet with LTE connectivity, especially when you’re getting a data bucket for free for life of the tablet, like T-mobile is doing and Verizon did for a little bit. How many of you are looking to pick up the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 from AT&T?
