LG Posts Hands-On Video for the G Watch, Shows How to Use It

The LG G Watch is one of the two available Android Wear powered smart watches available right now, and LG wants to make sure you get acquainted with its newest creation with the latest video they posted.  LG’s hands-on video first goes through the specs of the device, which includes a little information about what’s inside the G Watch and a few of the hardware features of it too.  Followed by that LG walks you through how to pair the watch to the phone, including using the Android Wear settings app on your phone to easily manipulate watch settings.  LG then takes you through a number of use-case scenarios including using Google Now, swiping through cards that appear on your screen, changing the watch face, sending text messages and more.  The G Watch is a fantastic piece of technology and we liked most of what LG has delivered in our review of the G Watch too.

But what if you don’t have a G Watch, rather the Samsung Gear Live or are holding out for the Motorola Moto360?  Not to fear, this video will work for any of those watches too since none of the manufacturers have changed the operation of the operating system in any way.  Android Wear at this point is made by Google and isn’t altered by anyone, and the only main differences between each manufacturer’s watch is going to be down to style, shape, size, materials used to make it and any custom watch faces that ship with the watch.  This is the beauty of Android Wear, because you know no matter what manufacturer you choose you’re going to get a consistently excellent experience with each one.  LG’s G Watch is the most unassuming looking of all the Android Wear watches so far, and acts sort of like a blank slate for whatever 22mm bands you want to attach to it.  Check out the video below!
