While the speaker on the LG G3 is quite good, especially since it is on the back of the device. There are some people out there that are going to want the speaker to be a bit louder. And well, thanks to the savvy developer community, we now have a mod that can do just that. Although this isn’t the first time we’ve had a sound mod before. There are also a few for the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8.
What’s different about this mod is that the developer, spiderio, has chosen to not just post the mod and have you flash it or install the APK, but to have you do the work yourself. Which is quite easy to do. And he gives you all the instructions for doing it yourself. All you’ll need is a text editing app, and you can change the volume of the speaker to your liking. However, you will need root to edit the file, so if you’ve decided not to root your LG G3, you’ll need to, to be able to use this mod. It’s also recommended that you do not push the value for the speaker above 92 as it will lead to heavy distortion, which is not what we want from our speaker on the LG G3. You can also change the headphone output level and leave the speakers alone if you want. Which is definitely nice to be able to do. Or vice versa.
If you’re interested in this Speaker mod, just head to the XDA thread which is linked below in the sources and follow the directions. And as always, Android Headlines is not responsible for any damage caused to your device. How many of you are going to use this mod on your LG G3? If you do, be sure to let us know what you think about it, and how it works for you, in the comments down below.
