Asus Zenfone 4 Is Available For Pre-Order On Flipkart

Asus unveiled their Zenfone 4 device last month. The latter one is now available for pre-order on Flipkart for Rs. 6999 (approximately $115). Zenfone 4 is running Android 4.4 KitKat with Asus’ very own Zen UI on top of it. The device is sporting a 4.5-inch (854 x 480) display on the front along with the usual sensors and a 0.3-megapixel camera which are also located on the front of this device. Zenfone 4 is powered by Intel Atom Z2520 dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and PowerVR SGX544 GPU is here for graphics performance as well as 1GB of RAM for your multitasking needs. On the back of the device you’ll find an 8-megapixel camera as well as a LED flash. This is a Dual SIM device (Micro SIMs) and is 11.3mm thick while it weights 134g. 1750mAh battery is here to make sure you don’t run out of juice in the middle of the day and note that this is a 3G device. If you decide to purchase one, it will ship in the first week of September.

This is actually a very affordable device for the specifications it offers. You can’t exactly expect top of the line specifications for $115, now can you? Either way, it’s nice to see Asus back in the smartphone game, hopefully this is just a start for them. As a side note, Asus will hold a press event at this year’s IFA, September 3 is the date. We can only guess what will the bring to the table considering we didn’t see that many rumors when it comes to their products. Asus’ chairman did however mention they’re working on a smartwatch a while back, so I guess that’s one thing we could see there. Other than that, we’re in the dark. Asus did however launch almost a dozen tablets thus far (this year), so maybe it’s time we see a high-end smartphone or something of the sort at this year’s IFA. Either way you spin this, we’ll see lots of tech this year in Berlin, IFA will be packed. Basically every smartphone manufacturer has scheduled an event there or at that time somewhere else. Asus will have a particularly tough time getting attention on September 3rd considering Samsung is holding its unpacked even on that date where it will unveil their long-awaited Galaxy Note 4 phablet.
