Android How To: Use One Hand UI on the Huawei Ascend Mate 7

Sometimes I laugh at phones that have a one hand UI type feature. But with a device as large as the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, it’s kind of needed. After all it is a 6.1-inch device, so it’s a  bit tough to use one-handed. I’ve actually found myself using this mode quite a bit, surprisingly, on the Huawei Ascend Mate 7.

So what exactly is One Hand UI? Well basically it’ll move the UI over to one side of the screen. Now this only works for the softkeys, Dialer and keyboard. So unfortunately, unlike the implementations done by LG and Samsung, it doesn’t work system wide. But you can hit the toggle in the notification area and have the softkeys move over to the right or left side of the display, additionally you can have the dialer portion of the dialer app move over as well. It’s a pretty cool feature and one that a lot of people will likely use.
