Well if the recent report from TK Tech News is correct, it appears that AT&T will get the exclusive on MotoMaker again, but it won’t be like last year where the carrier had about 3 months of exclusivity. Instead it’ll be about 3 days. Meaning, not even a week. Which is pretty crazy and almost unheard of. After those three days are up, Verizon gets MotoMaker for it’s customers. Still no word on when Sprint and T-Mobile will get it though. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see Motorola sell the unlocked GSM version as the T-Mobile Moto X+1 anyways.
There’s also word going around that September 6th is the date for the AT&T Moto X+1 launch and September 9th for Verizon. Those are supposedly pre-orders, since store releases of the Moto X are set for September 17th at Verizon and September 28th at AT&T. Which is interesting to see AT&T having a longer pre-order time than Verizon. It’s also being said that MotoMaker orders could take up to 14 days to come to you from Mexico. Interesting that they are coming from Mexico, as I thought they’d be making them over in China, especially with Lenovo picking them up.
We also heard earlier today, that it may be called the New Moto X, instead of the Moto X+1. Which I’d be fine with that. Definitely sounds better than the Moto X+1, as we have plenty of devices with the number one in them already. We will find out more on the Moto X+1 later this week when Motorola makes the device official, and we will be there. So make sure you stay tuned to Android Headlines for all the information.
