The Nexus 9 by HTC, we already know so much about this device. Like what processor it’s going to have – thanks to NVIDIA leaking it in a court case – and we basically know the HTC is making the Nexus 9 because of NVIDIA as well. So now, what display will HTC toss into the HTC Nexus 9? Typically HTC uses a Super LCD display, but where this is a Nexus device, they may go the cheap route – since the Tegra K1 is in there and that’s not cheap. So we may see a IPS display or just a regular TFT display? Although I’d still bet money on a Super LCD3 display as that’s what they are throwing into everything these days.
What about resolution? I wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit at around 2560×1600. After all, the Nexus 10 released in 2012 does have that resolution and was one of the first tablets to release with that kind of resolution. So it’s not unheard of for Google to release a Nexus tablet with 2560×1600 resolution display. So I do think it’s likely. The Nexus 9 could also come with a 1080p display, which I think would still be just fine, especially since it will be a Nexus and will probably be around $300-350 for the 16GB and 32GB models.
That’s what we think and know about the HTC Nexus 9 display. What do you think? Will we see a 1080p or Quad HD Display? Super LCD, AMOLED, or IPS, or something else? Let us know in the comments below.
