Meizu is a really popular smartphone manufacturer in China. Their MX line has been selling like hot cakes the last few years and they have recently unveiled their new flagship device, the Meizu MX4. Following Meizu MX3’s success, China-based giant has decided to up the ante and release yet another high-end devices for at an extremely competitive price point. The device has scored over 50,000 on its first AnTuTu benchmark results, which actually shows what kind of hardware we’re talking about here, which accompanied with Meizu’s very own Flyme 4.0 Android-based OS offers a lot of bang for the buck.
Meizu MX4 is sporting a 5.36-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display along with 2GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 16, 32 or 64GB of storage, depending on the model you get. The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6595 octa-core processor which uses big.LITTLE architecture with four ARM Cortex-A17 processor and four Cortex-A7 processors inside (which is allegedly 87% faster than the one in its predecessor) along with the PowerVR Series 6 GPU which is here to take care of graphics. Meizu says that this graphics chip is 88% more powerful than the GPU in Meizu Mi3. 20.7-megapixel camera with Sony’s IMX 200 1/2.3 CMOS sensor and dual tone, dual LED flash is located at the back of the device while there’s a 5-megapixel shooter available up front for you selfies, video calls and what not. The device comes with 3100mAh non-removable battery inside which should be more than enough to provide you a full days use out of the device. As for the software, Meizu MX4 comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed with Meizu’s very own Flyme 4.0 OS on top of it. 144 x 75.2 x 8.9mm are the device’s dimensions and it weights 147 grams
