Huawei Ascend G7 Is Now Available For Pre-Order In China For 1999 Yuan ($327)

Huawei has been stepping up their game lately. The company released Huawei Ascend Mate 7, a device which resembles HTC’s One Max a whole lot, not just by general shape but the build materials and that fingerprint sensor on the back. Sales have been going fine for that device it seems, Huawei sold over 1 million copies in just 1 month and the device hasn’t left Asia just yet. Huawei launched another solid device back in September at IFA, Huawei Ascend G7. This device isn’t exactly as high-end as the Mate 7 is, but it’s solid offering none the less and it offers great build quality and the overall look. This device is now available for pre-order from Huawei’s official market over at VMall.com or Tmall, whichever you prefer. The device is available in silver color for 1999 Yuan for Chinese customers, at least for now. Huawei didn’t say anything about international availability at this point, though I believe they will launch this thing globally sometime soon.

Let’s see what Huawei Ascend G7 has to offer. This device features a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720, 267ppi) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via MicroSD card up to 64GB. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz which comes with an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics processing. 13-megapixel camera comes with a 28mm wide-angle BSI lens which can be found at the back of this device while there’s a 5-megapixel shooter with 88-degree wide-angle lens on the front of the device. This is a 4G LTE device and it ships with a 3,000mAh battery, which should provide plenty of juice through the day. Ascend G7 ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat pre-installed with Huawei’s EMUI 3.0 UI on top of it. This device will almost certainly get Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the future.

This truly is a solid offering by Huawei, The device is made out of metal, though there is some plastic on the back, which should help with the signal / network connection. Considering the build quality and the specifications of this device, 1999 Yuan might be just the right price for this thing, but I’ll let you decide that.
