Oppo R5 definitely wasn’t the main attraction at Oppo’s press conference in Singapore. Oppo N3 stole the spotlight, but the R5 is a beast of its own. Not only does this phone comes with a 5.2-inch full HD display and 2GB of RAM, but it is also the king of thin phones. This device is only 4.85mm thin and thus thinner than the Gionee Elife S5.1, which was the thinnest phone around thus far at only 5.15mm. Oppo R5 has the same metallic frame build as the Oppo N3 and those edges are chamfered, which gives it a really sleek look all around. The camera doesn’t exactly goes seamlessly with the phone’s design on the back, it sticks out a bit, but nothing you should be worries about. Considering the phone is only 4.85mm thin Oppo managed to pack only a 2000mAh battery on the inside, which is somewhat low if you ask me, it will be interesting to see how well will it perform. VOOC rapid charging might come in handy though, considering it should give you a 75% charge in less than 30 minutes.
If you take a look below the article you’ll notice a bunch of Oppo R5 images and also bezels on this device. Oppo N3 is heavy on the upper bezels because of that huge rotating camera, R5 doesn’t have such an excuse though, the phone really does have plenty of bezels above and below the screen. Capacitive buttons are located below the screen, no on-screen ones here unfortunately. Side bezels are really thin though, so that helps. The device will be available in White, Grey and Gold colors, though we’re able to show you only the white colored model at the moment. This is a really nice device overall, though it has its downsides and I’m actually quite interested in how well will that battery perform. Anyhow, check out the gallery down below and for full specs of this device visit this link.
