Someone Has Created A Root Bounty For The Verizon/AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Rooting devices is a huge passion and almost a necessity for many people who use Android devices, and it’s become something of a culture with all the customizations and capabilities that one can do with a rooted phone or tablet. Some people have a need to get their devices rooted, so much so the point where they’re willing to pay money to have someone complete the process. Earlier in the year after the Samsung Galaxy S5 officially released, it was found that the AT&T and Verizon Wireless models were quite difficult to achieve root with. This resulted in people setting up a Boutny through XDA Developers, a prominent community of modders, developers and Android enthusiasts,to pay the person that could first come up with the root for those two carrier variations of the phone.

Now that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is official and people have started to get their hands on it, the root process remains to be one of the tasks that people are trying to achieve so that they might gain access back to their favorite root required apps and eventually, flash custom ROMs to the device. As it stands, someone over at XDA has created a bounty for the Note 4 much like someone did for the Galaxy S5. The bounty as it currently sits is well over $4k, $4,285 to be exact.

This isn’t a bounty for just any Samsung Galaxy Note 4, it’s specifically set up for the Verizon Wireless and AT&T versions just like with the S5, which doesn’t surprise us as the Verizon devices are usually harder to get root achieved on due to the locked bootloaders. Nevertheless, as the bounty keeps climbing developers and other modders are likely hard at work trying to get this completed so that they might grab the pot of money that people have been generously donating to see this happen. Are you a Galaxy Note 4 user on either one of those wireless networks and waiting to root your device? If so you might want to check out the XDA thread for the bounty and maybe even toss a little something towards the goal. Sooner or later, someone will find out a process that works and post their findings and steps for completion in the thread. It’s just a matter of time. We have to wonder how high this particular bounty will go.
