This afternoon, HTC is taking the wraps off of a few new devices in New York City. I am actually here in NYC to see what HTC has to show us. But HTC is also doing a live stream so you can watch that down below. HTC has been teasing a few different wearable cameras. We’ve also seen some rumors of the HTC One M8 EYE and the Desire Eye coming at this event. There’s also been a – small – rumor about a new HTC tablet. Which if we do see one, I’m pretty sure it’s the Sense version of the Nexus 9. Which is quite possible, as HTC has done this before with the Nexus One a few years ago. But for the most part we are just expecting two smartphones and two cameras. So we should get some nice hands on with all of those devices, and we’ll be posting that stuff later on today.
HTC doesn’t typically do a fall event. So we should see some nice goodies coming out of this one. The rumor is that the Desire Eye is going to China and India, while the HTC One M8 Eye is going to all four carriers here in the US. Which would mean that this is their holiday season push, and HTC will need to get this device onto those carriers ASAP, so they can sell well during the holiday season.
HTC is usually pretty good with cameras, although the UltraPixel era wasn’t a good idea. It’s going to be interesting to see what HTC has up their sleeves at this event today.
