ASUS Launch Transformer Pad TF103 in India

ASUS has been a name in the Android tablet market since Android tablets were running the age-old Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Since then however, the company has struggled to keep their grip on the high-end tablet market and instead has chosen to focus on delivering quality experiences without the associated price tag. With the Nexus 7, ASUS managed to set something of a precedent of what could be done for a low price. Now, their MeMo Pad line and Transformer Pad line have been doing fairly well and they’re bringing the latter to India with the Transformer TF103.

At RS 19,999 the TF103 isn’t designed to be the world’s most powerful tablet, and indeed the specifications reflect as much. It’s a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 affair powered by a dual-core Intel Atom CPU. It’s running Android 4.4 along with ASUS’ ZenUI and while there’s no word on whether or not there’s going to be a keyboard dock available for the TF103 it’s a pretty solid offering, especially for this sort of price. With 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage things could be better on the memory and storage side, but this is decent for the price. ASUS India’s head had this to say: “We are ecstatic about introducing the all new additions to the much celebrated Transformer Series to India. India has been one of the key markets for the entire transformer series. In it our constant endeavour to effectively amalgamate our users’ needs with incredible experiences and deliver in the form of revolutionary hybrids, notebooks and tablets.”
