As Black Friday approaches, so do the deals. Now there will of course be the biggie deals which we will all be waiting on in anticipation. Not to mention will probably sell out quicker than you can say “out of stock”. That said, sometimes the deals to focus on, are the little ones. We have already seen this morning Verizon launch their ‘Connection day’ promotion, which as a prelude to the big Black Friday event offers both Verizon and non-Verizon customers a few freebies. Now it seems it is Google’s turn.
Google has kicked off its ‘Cyber Week’ promotion. Before you get too excited this does not include a Google Nexus 6 or Nexus 9. Instead, like the Verizon one, this is mainly a lot discounts on games, apps, books and music. Still, a deal is a deal. So whats on offer? Well, there is simply too many titles to list, so will just give you an idea of what’s available. Google are offering a number of movies at a reduced cost with the biggest up to 50% off. This means prices range from $2.99 to $9.99 and include both new and old titles. To give you an example, you can currently pick up the new Russell Crowe film ‘Noah’ for as little as $3.99. Similarly, a bunch of albums are on sale and again start from $2.99 and rising. These again include quite a mixture of titles and artists with the likes of Jason Derulo and Sam Smith both on offer. If you are more of a gamer then there is also a number of android games available. Unlike the music and movies, the games start from free. Although do bare in mind that free is not always free with the sneaky IAPs that may be included. That said, Asphalt 8 is there as well as a few others. If you fancy a quiet day reading after all the turkey, then you might want to check out the books on offer. Compared to the other categories, books seem to be the least offered (in terms of variety). That said, they do seem to have some of the biggest discounts with some titles dropping from $12.99 down to $3.25.
So there you go. if you don’t manage to secure any of the big deals this Black Friday then maybe you will be happy enough with grabbing a few smaller (but cheaper) bargains. You can check out the full list of what is currently on offer by clicking here and heading over to the Play Store. The promotion is due to end on December 1st so you do have a few days to think them over before buying. Unlike the Nexus 6 or Nexus 9 it is unlikely these deals will sell-out. So anything there that catches your attention?
