HTC have been up to some interesting things over 2014. Their current flagship device the HTC One M8 is a great device and offers users a good solid all-round performance. Since then HTC have embarked on somewhat of a photography fling placing great emphasis on camera abilities. This climaxed this year in their ‘Double Exposure’ event when they released the strange but alluring RE Camera. Another device that hit the limelight at this event was the HTC Desire Eye. This was a highly focused camera smartphone with a 13MP camera on the front and one on the back. Well, to add to the ever-expanding Desire range a new device looks set to be released. This is the HTC Desire 620. Although, it has not had its release yet, that still has not stopped Bulgarian site Nixanbal.com from posting the images of the device. The page has since gone, but you can see a cache version by clicking on the source link below.
The Desire 620 is not meant as a leading role device and is more of a supporting act for the HTC flagship devices. It comes with a 5″ display with a 720 pixel resolution. Inside, the 620 offers 1GB RAM and a quad core processor of some sort. In terms of memory, it comes with 8GB internal storage. The 620 is powered by a 2100mAh battery and comes running on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). Although this will come loaded with HTC’s own Sense 6 UI on top. In terms of cameras (have purposely addressed this last) there is an 8MP rear shooter along with a 5MP front facing camera. However, the pictures below clearly show what looks to be dual front facing cameras. Yes, if you look at the images (closely) you should be able to make out one on the top bezel and one on the bottom bezel.
So overall, this is not a special device. That said, it is not a bad device either. This seems almost certain to be positioned as a low-mid device and as such will be priced accordingly. On a more general note and based on what we are seeing this year from HTC, this should be a good little performer. But what do you think? How does the specs sound to you?
