Huawei has been making some really great devices lately. The company always had somewhat solid offerings for the market, but their Ascend Mate 7 handset for example really impressed me. Not only that, but company’s Emotion UI 3.0 is a really big step up compared to the previous version of the OS in my opinion. Huawei seems to be making all the right steps lately and hopefully that will pay off for this Chinese smartphone manufacturer. It seems like Huawei Glory 6X is on the way, 2 Huawei models visited TENAA (China’s equivalent of the FCC) recently and they fit the upcoming Glory 6X perfectly.
Huawei PE-TL10 and PE-UL10 are the model names of these handsets. According to the listing, this handset will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and will be powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core processor. 32GB of internal storage is also listed and that storage will be expandable via MicroSD card up to 64GB. A dual 8-megapixel camera is also mentioned in this listing and you can see it on the back side of the device down below, it will be interesting to see what Huawei plans to do with this thing, in other words how will the company take advantage of that hardware. Android 4.4 KitKat will ship with this device with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top of it. TENAA listing doesn’t say whether this handset will sport 4G connectivity though, but I’m rather certain it will. The handset will measure 150.46 — 75.68 — 7.5mm and it will weight 165 grams. You can also check out TENAA’s images of this handset down below. Huawei Glory 6X is expected to launch in December and I’m sure we’ll get more information by then.
Huawei Glory / Honor 6 has a somewhat similar specifications to this thing and was discounted in China quite recently. This handset also sports a 5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, has an octa-core chip and the general shape of the device is rather similar. This handset is powered by Huawei’s very own HiSilicon Kirin 920 octa-core chip, though this upcoming handset might employ a true octa-core chip, we’ll just have to wait and see considering we didn’t get detailed information about the processor itself. Either way we spin this, these two handsets will be really similar and Glory 6X will be more of an iterative update it seems.
