A lot of readers probably have not heard of Intex, but that won’t be the case if you live in India. Intex in India are a rather big company and with the Indian smartphone market growing at the rate that it is, this means Intex are a company to watch out for. We have covered a number of Intex’s smartphones in the past and they do not seem shy in how often they release one. It was exactly a month ago today that we reported the launch of the Intex Aqua Amaze. Not forgetting back in September we also reported on the Intel Aqua T2. the T2 in particular was an interesting device as its big selling point was it only costs $44. For a smartphone that is some serious change in your pocket.

Well, that was September and October, but now is November. So out with the old and in with the new. In this case that would be Intex’s latest incarnation the Intex Aqua V4. As the name suggests, this is the latest member of the Intex Aqua family. So what does this one offer? Well, I’m glad you asked. The Intel Aqua V4 comes with a 3.5″ display with a 320 x 480 resolution. Inside the V4 offers 256MB RAM and a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7715 processor. In terms of memory the V4 is quite small offering only 512MB internal storage although it does come with an expandable microSD card slot. In terms of cameras, the V4 offers a 2MP rear camera along with a 0.3MP front shooter. Additional features on offer include dual-SIM, 3G, WiFI, Bluetooth and a 1200mAh battery. Not forgetting the V4 comes running on Android 4.4 (KitKat).

Needless to say that the specs speak for themselves and this is not being touted as a majorly high-end device. In fact, this is meant for the low end market and for those not looking to spend much on a new phone. You may be thinking with specs like that it can’t be more than $100. Well you would be right. In fact, this one is not even $50. No, instead the V4 is being sold for Rs 2,699 which is just under $44. So, in short this is another device Intex have managed to offer at the $44 marker.
