Meizu is doing really great as far as smartphone sales go lately. This Chinese smartphone manufacturer recently announced company’s newest flagship, Meizu MX4 Pro, only two and half months after they released the original MX4. Both of these devices are great offerings, MX4 Pro brings a bigger display which sports 2K resolution, more RAM, a more powerful SoC and a fingerprint scanner. Other than that, these handset are pretty much on par and MX4 is still a great offering. MX4’s predecessor, Meizu MX3, has been launched in September 2013, which means it’s over a year old now. MX3 is still a rather powerful handset though, more on its specifications later on. Meizu has decided to discount the MX3, starting today, November 27. If you live in China you can get this device on the cheap. 16, 32 and 64GB models are available and they cost 1299 Yuan ($212), 1399 Yuan ($244) and 2099 Yuan ($342) respectively. You can also get this device from Meizu’s international store here, but the device will cost you far more, $399.

Meizu MX3 features a 5.1-inch (1800 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM for all your multitasking endeavours and 16, 32, 64 or 128GB of non-expandable internal storage, Meizu sure did make sure everyone has a unit that fits them. This handset is powered by Exynos 5 Octa 5410 octa-core processor (quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7) which comes with PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU for graphics processing. On the back of this device you’ll find an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash located below it, while there’s a 2-megapixel shooter on the front of the phone. The device ships with a non-removable 2400mAh battery and Android 4.2 JellyBean with Meizu’s Flyme 3.0 on top of it (upgrade is available or will be soon). 139 x 71.9 x 9.1mm are the device’s measurements while it weighs 143 grams.

As you can see, Meizu is still a rather powerful device and i believe the prices in China are extremely affordable if you want to get ahold of one. International price is a completely different story and you’re better off getting something else, but the point is the discount in China. Let us know if you decide to get one for yourself.
