Ah, Meizu. So many leaks, so many. A couple of them come my way on a daily basis, whether we’re talking about leaked images of the phone or something else entirely. This time around, we actually have something interesting to share with you (though we have some phone images as well). I don’t know if you recall the look of Meizu’s invitation for company’s November 19th event, if you don’t, here’s a reminder. As you can see there’s a big vinyl record in the lower part of that invitation which suggested Meizu will release something music-related during the event on November 19th, we didn’t know what, at least until now that is.
2 press images leaked which show off a device which resembles the Meizu MX4, but according to the info we could gather it won’t be yet another smartphone. Could this be Meizu’s version of the iPod Touch or something similar to that? It sure seems like it. This device is playing Shakira’s “You Don’t Care About Me” in said images which are located above and below this article. So, putting the pieces of this puzzle together, vinyl invitation plus these leaked renders with music playing on the screen of this device sure do point towards a smart MP4 of sorts, in lack of a better word. This is quite interesting, at the very least. Apple basically abandoned its music players line and now it seems Meizu will try to launch something similar. We’re of course still guessing at this point, there’s no way to confirm anything, but everything points to it. What are your thoughts on all this, do you think this will be an iPod-like device or does Meizu has something else in mind?
This mysterious device isn’t the only thing we have to share with you though, if you take a look at the gallery below you’ll also find 2 new MX4 Pro images there (2nd and 3rd image) which just confirm everything we’ve seen thus far. Either way Meizu’s much-rumored MX4 Pro handset will sport a 2K display and a fingerprint scanner below the screen. 3GB of RAM, Samsung’s Exynos 5430 octa-core chip and a 20.7-megapixel main camera are also expected to be included in this package. As I already said, Meizu will hold an event on November 19th, which is less than a week away. I’m sure we’ll see more leaks until then, so stay tuned.
