Samsung is expecting that their premium-built Galaxy A3 and A5 devices will sell like crazy in China and work in their favor by helping them raise their plummeting market share back up (Samsung’s sales in China dropped by nearly 50%). Both of these handsets have been marketed as affordable handset with metallic frame, even though their price isn’t all that affordable. Anyhow, Samsung announced that the Galaxy A5 is available for purchase in China for 2599 Yuan ($420) a couple of days ago, but it seems that might not be the case according to latest reports from Korea.
According to ETNews, a Korean publication, who cited an unnamed “officials in the industry”, Samsung Galaxy A5 sales will be delayed due to issues in the production line. According to the information, Galaxy A5 won’t launch this month, there’s no way they will manage to deliver it so fast. The device is expected to hit market in mid-December, if these news are to be believed, of course. Interesting enough, the Galaxy A5 is still listed for sale in Samsung’s China store. This report might be way off or Samsung just didn’t remove the listing just yet, we’ll keep an eye on the store in order to see if Samsung removes the listing anytime soon. This report might actually be a bit off or something, Samsung might have issues, but the company intends to deliver the handset on time, or with short delays. Either way, we’ll get to the bottom of this soon, hopefully.

Samsung Galaxy A5 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 CPU, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz which ships with an Adreno 306 GPU. On the back of the device, you’ll find a 13-megapixel camera and an LED flash while there’s a 5-megapixel snapper on the front of the device. 2,300mAh battery comes with this device and it’s sealed in. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this handset on top of which you’ll find Samsung’s custom UI, of course, which comes with a ton of software features.
