Uber India Offering Five Free Rides 'Til November 30th

Uber has pretty much revolutionized the way that people get around these days and while they don’t seem able to behave themselves here in the US, they’re making inroads into India. Now operating in 11 different Indian cities, Uber is a great way to get from A to B, and as #freeuberweek continues, Paytm and Uber have teamed up to offer a further five free rides to customers just for using their payment method. As Uber is getting off the ground in India, we’re sure that they’re keen to further promote their brand and this latest free promotion is one of the best ways to try out the service.

To use a free ride with Paytm you need to do so before November 30th and the rides can only be between 12PM and 6PM, with users only needing to choose Paytm as their payment method to get a free ride. Sadly, the rides can only be up to RS 300, but this is a nice enough way of trying out the service for the first time, or perhaps using Paytm for the first time as well. If you’re unsure of where Uber is available, the following cities are covered: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune. You can also download the Uber app from the Play Store and find out if the service is available near you.

While this isn’t the best deal available, a free ride is genuinely a free ride and like I’ve said this would be great to try Uber out. UberGo recently launched in the region as well, offering even cheaper rides than the traditional UberX services. We’d like to hear from our Indian readers and whether or not you’ve spent time with Uber since its launch in the region, so shout out in the comments below and don’t forget to swing by our Google+ page as well.
