After a lot of rumors and leaks, Huawei has finally announced their Honor 6 Plus and Honor 4X handsets two days ago. Honor 6 Plus is the more powerful of the two and it offers great specifications and build quality for a rather affordable price, while the Honor 4X comes sporting the newly announced Kirin 620 SoC by Huawei, which is a mid-range processor. Both of these handset are currently available for pre-order in China, and the Honor 6 Plus will be available for sale in China on December 23rd, while it won’t be arriving to Europe and other western markets according to the latest report, unfortunately.
Huawei’s new Honor 6 Plus handset got dismantled by a Chinese portal IT168 in order to show us what exactly lays on the inside. The source didn’t find any significant irregularities when tearing this device apart and everything seems to be in place. The device features a 5.5-inch 1080p display along with 3GB of RAM for all your multitasking and 16 (3G / 4G) or 32GB (4G) of internal storage which you can expand via MicroSD card up to 128GB. This handset is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 925 octa-core processor (quad Cortex A15 + quad Cortex A7) and an extra processor on the side called ISP (Dedicated Signal Image Processor), which is in charge of some side processing, mostly camera adjacent. Mali T628 MP4 GPU ships with this Kirin SoC and is in charge of graphics rendering. This handset has two 8-megapixel cameras on the back, while there’s a 8-megapixel snapper located on the front side of this phone. 3600mAh battery is included in this device and it should be powerful enough to last you the whole day’s worth of use.
