If you are an LG G3 owner then today looks to be a good day for you. Especially if you were waiting on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) to arrive. On Friday, it was being reported that LG G3 owners in the UK who had an LGG3 running on the Vodafone network had begun to see their Lollipop update rolling out. Since then, this morning in fact, the news emerged that the LG G3 unlocked variant in the UK was also getting the Lollipop treatment. Well, it seems the European news is much more varied than the initial reports suggested.
In fact, the news coming in now, is that the LG G3 European update is widespread and rolling out to multiple countries in Europe as we speak. Instead of just hitting the unlocked version in the UK it is hitting a whole host of countries. If you want to know if your country in included then get ready. The update seems to be en route to Austria, Baltics, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain and as we know, the UK. The update is relative to the LGD855 model of the LG G3 in all the countries listed and brings your device up to Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
As the UK news had shown, the chances are, that unlocked versions of the LG G3 will be the first to receive the OTA update in each country. That said, all countries will receive the update. You may have already seen the update land but if you have not then do not worry. These OTA updates can be frustratingly slow and may take a couple of days to reach your device. You can of course, use the LG Mobile Support Tool to help push the update to your device if you do not want to wait any longer for the OTA to arrive. If you want to give this a go then click the source link below for the link to the Support tool. If you have already received the update then make sure to leave a comment letting us know you got it and also let us know what you think of Lollipop in general.
