The Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update is really starting to take shape now. We have seen pretty much the whole Nexus range get updated. Not to mention Motorola have been pushing out the Lollipop update to some of its devices. We had heard little from Samsung although then last week it started to be reported that the Samsung Galaxy S5 had begun to see the update rolling out in certain countries. However, one of the manufacturers who have seemed to have been pushing hard for Lollipop is LG. It seems the ‘other’ South Korean tech company wants very much to beat its noisy neighbour to the punch, getting Lollipop out to its users much quicker. Especially if you are running their flagship device, the LG G3.

The LG G3 update all begun back at the start of November (in fact, not long after Google pushed the update out) with the first of the LG G3 owner getting a taste of the update, which was strangely in Poland. Following this, we begun to see reports that the LG G3 owners in South Korea started receiving their OTA update too. To add to this, the company recently announced that it will be rolling out Lollipop to Canadian owners sometime in early 2015. Now though, we are hearing reports that the update has started rolling out to the LG G3 somewhere else. Yes, the most recent reports, is that the update is landing on the LG G3 in the UK. More specifically, it seems that it is Vodafone who are currently rolling out the update. So if you are on Vodafone in the UK and running an LG G3, then you should start to see the update hitting your device in the next few hours or days.

If you do see the update landing soon enough then make sure to leave a comment and let us (and other LG G3 owners) know it has landed where you are. Also do not forget to tell us what you think of Lollipop in general? This update is a big deal and everyone (including us) is always happy to hear about it. So leave a comment and let us all know.
