Asus Fonepad 7 (2015) Running Android 5.0 Lollipop Spotted Passing Through TENAA

The week beginning March 1st, was generally when most manufacturers decided it was the right time to introduce their various new devices and products. That said, well before MWC kicked off at the start of March, Asus decided the right time to made their own announcement was midway through February. As such, roughly a month ago, Asus announced the introduction of their latest Fonepad device, in the form of the Asus FonePad 7. The name will sound somewhat familiar as this is not the first Fonepad 7 from Asus, but is the first one to come running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box. Not to mention, these devices are ones which really do blur the line between what a phone and tablet should be and especially as they technically fall out of the boundaries of the phablet range. For instance, the Fonepad 7 comes with a 7 inch display which does firmly place it in the tablet range. However, this is one tablet which can you can make calls from.

Well, although, only being announced roughly a month ago, the FonePad has already been spotted making its appearance on TENAA. for those unfamiliar with TENAA, this is basically the Chinese alternative to the FCC. As such, once a device is noted passing through TENAA, it is not normally that long before the device begins to make its way to a full release and launch. On a separate note, those interested in the Asus ZenFone 2 should be seeing the device launched in China this time next week.

If you think you might interested in the Fonepad 7, then you probably will want to know what comes included with your 7 inch device. The Asus Fonepad 7 comes with a 7-inch IPS display with a 1280×800 resolution. Memory wise, the Fonepad 7 comes in either an 8 or 16GB internal storage variant and both come with a microSD card slot for additional storage. Camera-wise, the Fonepad 7 comes with a 5 megapixel rear shooter coupled with a 2 megapixel front facing option.
