Fleksy has been introducing all sorts of cool little additions to their popular third party keyboard app as of late. Not too long ago they introduced keyboard extensions along with all new keyboard themes and a completely redone UI with Material Design, giving existing and new Fleksy users even more out of an already great keyboard application that rivals the best of them with speed and accuracy. For those who are unfamiliar with the keyboard extensions, they’re basically easy ways to enhance the way you may already use Fleksy with shortcuts to inserting GIF images, a number row, keyboard shortcuts to quickly type up things like “be there soon” with the tap of a button and even an extension for launching apps from the keyboard.
Today Fleksy is announcing a brand new keyboard extension in partnership with Yahoo, which brings the power of Yahoo search right to your finger tips on the keyboard when you’re typing up messages or adding a new post. It’s already relatively easy to access different forms of search on Android as Google search is merely a hop away from any screen you’re on, but now search is even faster with the new Yahoo search extension as users don’t even have to leave the screen they’re on to type up a search query.
This marks the second partnership Fleksy has unveiled this week, as they announced another one on Sunday with Samsung to bring Fleksy keyboard to all Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge owners for free as part of the Samsung Galaxy Gifts program on those two devices. Not only that, but those who redeem Fleksy as part of the Samsung Galaxy Gifts on the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge will get all modern premium themes for free, as well as access to this new Yahoo Search keyboard extension. It should also be noted that this is the full version of Fleksy Keyboard(which is normally $2.99)that is part of the Samsung promotion. For anyone that is already using Fleksy as of now, the Yahoo Search extension should already be live through an app update. If you’re not already a Fleksy user, you can grab the app from the Play Store, and even check out the trial version if you want to test things out first.
