HTC One M7 On T-Mobile Will See Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Beginning Tuesday March 10th

Now that MWC has come and gone, talk can return to one of the most consistent news topics which has circulated for the last few months. Android 5.0 Lollipop updates. Since Google unveiled the new operating system, consumers have been eager to see their update rolling out to their respective devices. Likewise, manufacturers and carriers have seemed to be working tirelessly to bring the update to their respective devices. That said, updating has not been without issue and especially for HTC.

The Taiwanese company was one of those who was initially quite upfront about their ambitions and stated they would roll out Lollipop to their flagship devices (HTC One M8 and M7) within a self-imposed ninety-day time frame. That proved a little more difficult than they had anticipated, as once the ninety-day marker approached, the company then announced that they could not manage to fulfil the ninety-day promise and instead would miss the deadline. Since the deadline passed, HTC have been working hard to push forward with their updates. Most recently, Canadian variants of the One M7 were noted receiving their Lollipop update and this was followed quickly by the European One M7 also noted as receiving its respective update. The latest on this front is that the HTC One M7 on T-Mobile will begin seeing its update rolling out starting from this Tuesday. That’s MArch 10th.

The latest news came from HTC’s own twitterer, Mo Versi. His tweet sent out today (source link below) confirms they have received technical approval (TA) for Android 5.0 to roll out to the T-Mobile variant. The tweet also confirms that this will begin on Tuesday. Of course, this will be a roll-out type updating process and that means not everyone will receive the update at the same time. So, if you wake up on Tuesday morning and don’t see the update waiting for you, then don’t worry. It typically does take hours and days for all devices to see the update landing. In the meantime, are you running a T-Mobile HTC One M7? Happy about the news? Let us know
