The Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona is still on-going, we’ve seen a lot of great devices being showcased thus far, and there’s still more to come it seems. Huawei has showcased a bunch of their devices, some of them the company has announced prior to MWC, and some of them were announced in Barcelona. We’re here to take a closer look at one device from the former category, the Honor Holly smartphone. This device was originally announced in India back in September, and has been recently launched in Europe. This is a very solid entry-level handset which might catch your attention if you’re looking for a really affordable handset.

As you can see, this device won’t exactly turn heads when it comes to design, but you can’t really expect it to considering its price point. Speaking of price, this thing is priced at $116 in Europe. The Huawei Honor Holly features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. 8-megapixel snapper is located on the back of this smartphone, and a 2-megapixel shooter is available up front. The 2,000mAh battery comes with this device, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS is pre-installed here with Huawei’s Emotion UI 2.3 on top of Google’s OS. This is a dual-SIM handset, and you unfortunately don’t get 4G LTE connectivity here, but 3G is available, of course
There you have it, this is a solid entry-level offering by Huawei. If you’re into market for something like this, the Honor Holly might be something you’d want to consider, especially considering the fact it’s available in Europe now as well.
