We’re still at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona trying to cover as many products as possible. We’re currently at Acer’s booth taking a look at their products. This Taiwan-based company has announced three new smartphones at MWC, including the Liquid Leap+ smartband. We’ve covered announcements of each of these, and are now taking a look at the company’s Liquid Z520 smartphone, a low-mid range device. We played around with the device at the show and managed to get some shots of it which you can find in the gallery down below. This handset sports a rather industrial look and capacitive buttons below the display, unlike the Z220 that launched alongside it. Anyhow, let’s take a look at this handset’s specifications, shall we.
The Acer Liquid Z520 features a 5-inch 800 x 480 display along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of in-built storage, which you can expand via microSD card. 1.3GHz quad-core processor is powering on this device, and 2,000mAh will come built-in. On the back of this handset, you’ll find an 8-megapixel snapper flanked by an LED flash, while there’s a 2-megapixel shooter available up front. This is dual SIM device which offers 3G connectivity and measures 144 x 70 x 9.3mm. As far as software goes, Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed here with Acer’s very own UI on top of it. Acer’s UI brings along a ton of software features, including the voice-activated camera option.
