LG decided not to announce their new flagship at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona in order to avoid conflict with Samsung’s and HTC’s announcements. The company will showcase their new flagship, the LG G4, in April or May. The Head of LG’s Mobile Divison did tease the announcement of this handset, but didn’t exactly share all that many details with the public. He did say, however, that the G4 will be different than the G3, that the company has improved the G4 in many ways. He also said that LG will announce the new version of their Android skin, LG UX 4.0, prior to the G4’s announcement, which is interesting. This actually suggests that the company is going to make huge changes within the skin itself, considering that it seems like they’ll hold a separate event just for that.
Anyhow, a couple of days ago, LG G4’s alleged press render surfaced showing off the back side of the device. Well, now we have more of those renders to share with you. This time around you get to see the device from various angles, including its front and side. As you can see, this handset is slightly curved (less than the G Flex 2 though), and these renders look really sleek. The LG G4 will quite probably sport the same 5.5-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display its predecessor features. Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor will reportedly power on this device, and the handset will ship with 3 or 4GB of RAM on the inside. 20-megapixel OIS camera with LG’s laser autofocus has also been mentioned, and the device will allegedly sport a fingerprint scanner as well. Keep in mind that these are just rumors at this point though. Several sources also guess that LG intends to use premium materials this time around, so we might see some metal along with the polycarbonate in the G4’s design.
