SanDisk Reveals Their 200GB Flash Storage Solution With A 200GB MicroSD Card

Amid the ground-breaking technological advancements that we’re seeing at the beginning of the Mobile World Congress hosted in Barcelona, we now have a 200GB MicroSD memory card. SanDisk has just unveiled this incredible storage solution, and it should be amazing for all the devices that are capable of sporting it. SanDisk Corporation is currently the leader when it comes to MicroSD storage cards, bringing us the latest advancements in this field ever since 1988 when it started to manufacture flash memory storage.

Not all Android devices have support for MicroSD memory cards right out of the box, but those who do have a pretty big advantage over those who don’t. We all know how important storage is, and evolution in this field is highly important. A report shows that seven out of ten images taken by the average tech enthusiast are made using a smartphone or a tablet. Those images have to be stored somewhere, and when you do the math it piles up pretty quickly if you take music, apps and software updates into consideration. SanDisk has us covered for any storage needs we might have, and this 200GB MicroSD card should be enough to store anything. Think about the fact that several years ago this sort of technology was impressive even for a Desktop PC, and now it’s the size of a toenail.

2014 marked some impressive advancement in this technology as well, bringing us the 128GB SanDisk Ultra MicroSDXC memory card. Using the latest technology you can achieve a speed of up to 90MB/s which is equivalent to 1,200 photos per minute. You can expect to see this impressive piece of flash storage starting with the second quarter of this year, but the pricing won’t be cheap. The 200GB memory card will offer ten years of warranty and will be available at an MSRP of $399.99. If you’re currently at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, you should pay SanDisk a visit over at Stand # 7A61 which is located in Hall 7. There, you’ll find the latest displays in the matter of flash storage. Let us know what you think about this brand new technology and don’t forget to share this story on our Google+ page.
