HTC Announced their all new One M9 device early this morning at Mobile World Congress, sporting a similar design to last year’s HTC One M8, albeit with a single rear facing camera set at 20MP instead of the Duo Camera setup they had before. Although the outside may look fairly similar to its successor, the HTC One M9 comes with hardware on the inside that is a few steps above the previous model, and Sprint customers will be capable of picking up this brand new device later on in the year sometime during the Spring. The summer will be starting in the month of June, so that leads us to believe that Sprint will be carrying the device with a launch likely between the end of March and the end of May.
Now Sprint states that the HTC One M9 will be arriving in “early spring” so the actual date of when it will arrive on Sprint store shelves is leaning closer to sometime in April if we had to guess, although nothing has been confirmed by HTC or Sprint in regards to a specific date. If consumers want to be the first to know any details regarding this new upcoming device from HTC, Sprint is allowing customers to pre-register(even non-customers if they’re interested in knowing more)at a website they set up just for this occasion.
Sprint emphasizes that the HTC One M9 will “use their full spectrum portfolio.” This is a rather vague statement, but what they’re getting at is that it will be capable of delivering a first rate experience when it comes to the network. The HTC One M9 will be running on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop with the addition of HTC’s Sense 7 UI on top, and consumers will be able to view all the stuff that includes on a 5-inch Full HD display. Other improvements Sprint subscribers will want to look out for are the 20MP rear facing camera and the UltraPixel front facing camera, as well as the return of the new and improved Boom Sound speakers on the front and the next generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Unfortunately, even though we know that Sprint will be launching the HTC One M9 on early Spring, they haven’t listed a specific date, or any details on pricing.
