We’ve seen a ton of leaks regarding ‘bezel-less’ smartphones recently, and Oppo R7 was definitely one of the most notable ones. This handset has leaked in a number of images and videos thus far showing off its very slim bezels. We initially thought that this device won’t sport any bezel on the sides, which was somewhat confirmed when a couple of videos leaked, at least until yesterday. Another video leaked yesterday proving that the Oppo R7 will indeed sport some bezel on the sides, but Oppo managed to mask them. The company has curved the display on the front ever so slightly in order to reflect light and make it look like there’s no bezel on the sides. This is a clever move by this Chian-based smartphone OEM and it makes the device look really sleek.
Anyhow, we’ve seen a number of Oppo R7 images thus far and a ton of new ones just surfaced in China, 21 to be exact, and we’re here to share them with you. If you take a look at the gallery down below you’ll get to see this handset from almost every possible corner (we don’t get to see its back) and it even gets compared to the Meizu MX4 Pro in one of the images. The Oppo R7 actually seems significantly narrower than the MX4 Pro, but it seems like it sports the 5.5-inch panel as well though, at least judging by the sheer size of the screen after looking at the image. We thought that the Oppo R7 will sport a metal frame and these images only confirm that fact.
We don’t have that much info when it comes to this device’s specifications, but some rumors have been saying that it will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6795 64-bit octa-core processor and that it will sport a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back (Sony’s sensor). We cannot confirm any of that, of course, but it’s very likely this device will be powered by a MediaTek SoC though. The launch date of Oppo R7 is also still a mystery, the company is expected to launch it by the end of the year though, Q3 or Q4 seem like a probable timeframe for the launch of this device.
