Smartphone bezels are getting smaller and smaller lately, which was kind of expected considering the handsets have become really big and it seems like certain OEMs are still pushing the limits. Anyhow, some OEMs are planning to release bezel-free smartphones in the near future, and one of those OEMs is LeTV. You might have, or might not have heard of LeTV, but we’re talking about a very well-known company in China. Manufacturing smartphones definitely isn’t their number 1 occupation though. Despite that, LeTV is getting ready to release some really compelling devices soon.
The company has released an interesting teaser quite recently, suggesting that the LeTV X600 and LeTV X900 handsets will launch on April 14. We’ve seen several leaks when it comes to both of these devices, the LeTV X600 is said to be the company’s mid-ranger, while the X900 will be LeTV’s bezel-free flagship once it launches. Well, we have some new info to share with you today. First camera samples of the X600 leaked, you can check them out in a gallery down below. The X600 is rumored to sport a 13-megapixel camera, though that’s still not confirmed. What’s interesting here, is that these camera samples come directly from Jeffrey Ju, the General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications division. He also confirmed that the device is using MediaTek’s Melio X10 platform, which is basically a re-branded MT6795 SoC, which is a really solid performer.
The LeTV X600 will allegedly feature a 1080p display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. MediaTek’s Helio X10 (aka MT6795) SoC will power on the device and a 13-megapixel camera will be available on the back of this device. It seems like LeTV will use plastic as the main build material here, though we’re still not sure about that. The X900, on the other hand, will sport less bezel than the X600 and will ship with a 5.X QuadHD display and 4GB of RAM. This handset is said to feature a 20.7-megapixel camera, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC will quite probably power it on along with an Adreno 430 GPU.
According to previous leaks, the X600 model will be priced at around 999 Yuan ($161), and the X900 is said to cost 2,499 Yuan ($402). It remains to be seen how accurate these leaks are. The announcement is due in a week, so stay tuned, we’ll let you know when new information surfaces.
