Very recently we brought reports of a phone with no bezels and support for the new USB Type C standard built in. The mysterious handset detailed in the reported leaks is a new phone geared for release from the likes of LeTV. This new smartphone poised to make waves in the industry upon release intends to be the first device to feature USB Type C technology. The last batch of leaked images had a hand obscuring the camera in the shot, while the image of the USB Type C port was extremely closeup. Today’s reported leak give us a clear view of the USB Type-C port, with an example cable or charger above to show what the connector looks like. While the images also give away a better view of the front of the device, what appears to be a diagonal shot of dual speakers is displayed as well. In the second image, we get to see the device’s camera, which appears to slightly protrude from the rear of the device, and is accompanied by an LED flash.
While a display with close to no bezels showing and a USB Type-C port are two great features to set this phone aside, the complete specifications for the device are just as important. To power this phone though your gaming and multitasking needs is the MediaTek 6795 2.2 Ghz octa-core processor complimented by 2 GB of ram. The internal storage capacity is set to provide users with 16 GB of internal storage. While this is not the largest capacity, it is also possible the LeTV X600 could offer memory expansion although it is unknown at this point. The display for the device is expected to be a 5.5 inch full 1080p panel. As for the camera, on the rear a 13 megapixel shooter will rest while on the front a 5 megapixel is present. To sum this up, the LeTV X600 will include dual SIM slots as well.
With this new, growing trend of phones with bezel-less displays the movement appears to be gaining huge momentum. While in some cases the design choice is not always the best choice, it certainly is an attractive look for devices with large displays.
