As you all know by now, Samsung has announced the company’s new Galaxy S6 flagship devices last month during MWC in Barcelona. This Korean tech giant has announced two devices as part of their Galaxy S6 line, the regular Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. The Galaxy S6 Edge features curved display on both its left and right side, while the Galaxy S6 sports a rather regular look. These are the first two Samsung-branded smartphones to sport metal unibody design. Anyhow, it seems like Samsung intends to release yet another version of the Galaxy S6 out in the market, the dual-SIM variant of the device.
This is not the first time the Galaxy S6 Duos leaked, the handset popped up in Philippines and Russia first quite recently, and now it showed its face in actual images. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll see the device itself and the SIM cards tray next to it. Keep in mind that this is a prototype device, that’s why it doesn’t look like a Galaxy S6, but it does sport its internals. Anyhow, the model number of this device is SM-G920, and its specifications will be identical to the ones on the Galaxy S6, except it will sport 2 SIM slots. This means that the device will feature a 5.1-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and a 16-megapixel OIS camera on the back. Samsung’s 14nm Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor will power on this device and Android 5.0 Lollipop will come out of the box here with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of Google’s operating system.
The 64GB of Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos will reportedly cost RUB 52,990 ($901), and we still don’t know if Samsung will release the 32GB and 128GB variants of the device. The Galaxy S6 Duos will also be available only in select markets once it launches. Keep in mind that none of this information is official though, so take everything with a pinch of salt.
