AT&T Partners with Retail Giants, Launches New 'Plenti' Rewards Program

Rewards programs are nothing new in the consumer world, and over the last couple of years they seem to have become even more prevalent than they were last decade.  Everything from credit to debit cards, restaurants, retail stores and now even cell phone carriers have their own rewards programs.  The basic idea is to keep you shopping at whichever place the reward program belongs to, but it gets to be a hassle to keep track of all those cards and reward numbers even when using something like Google Wallet to manage them.  AT&T is jumping on board this reward program bandwagon but they’re doing it a little bit different than your local grocery store might.

AT&T figures you’ve got enough to worry about and don’t need to be juggling all those cards around and remembering logins so it’s creating a sort of “super rewards” program that includes not just discounts and incentives to its products and services but also to partners of the program.  AT&T has partnered up with the likes of Macys, Hulu, Riteaid, Exxon Mobile and more to bring rewards across stores and chains so you can start earning points based on a number of factors.  These points can be earned and redeemed at any participating member of the Plenti alliance, giving these points significantly more value than those of other rewards programs.

Customers who are interested can sign up using the Plenti link below and downloading the app to manage your points effectively.  New customers will be given the option to take part in a list of featured offers that could earn them up to 10,000 reward points, or $100 in savings.  Every 1,000 points qualifies for $10 in savings at participating members of the alliance, and there are tons of ways to earn points too.  For instance get 200 points for every 10 gallons of fuel at Exxon Mobile locations, 1,000 points on a $100 purchase at Macys or $50 spent at Riteaid.  Check out the website for all the ways to earn and spend points and sign up if you’re interested.  It’s completely free and could very well be worth the effort if you frequent any of the participating companies.
