Featured Review: Verus Iron Bumper Case For The Galaxy S6

Samsung really came around with the design of the Galaxy S6, utilizing everything they’ve learned about phone design and what the customer is looking for at this point and taking that and running with it. The end result is a combination of sleek look glass and a nicely finished metal which really amps up the overall look of the phone. It really is the best-designed smartphone they’ve ever made, and the only downside is that if you opt to protect it with a case in the unfortunate event things get dropped, the phone will most likely not look as stylish.

It doesn’t have to be that way though as there are many different case options out there for the Samsung Galaxy S6, and as I’ve found out from the Iron Bumper case from Verus in particular, it is possible to have a sleek looking device like the Galaxy S6 and keep it somewhat protected with an option like the Iron bumper without really giving up any of the style. After putting the case on the Galaxy S6 looks just about as stylish as with the case off thanks to the matching design Verus put into the bumper. The sides mimic the design Samsung has given the phone so it almost looks like there is no case there at all if you take a quick glance.

All things considered, covering up such a nice looking phone seems like blasphemy, but when you think about the alternative, which is dropping that nice looking device and potentially ruining the design for good due to some cracks, scratches, scuffs or all of the above, a case starts to sound like a more feasible option. The Iron Bumper case allows for all the ports on the Galaxy S6 to be accessible so there’s no problems with charging or plugging in headphones while the case is on. As buttons are covered by the case Verus has molds of the buttons worked in so everything is still usable, although I personally found the buttons to be a little more difficult to press with the case on. The power button in particular, had to be pressed with quite a bit more force to get it to activate, in spite of this though the buttons are still usable, they just require a little more effort than with no case on at all. Since this is a bumper case the front and the backs are uncovered, but with it on there is just enough of a lip surrounding the frame to keep the glass on the front and back from touching should it fall flat on the face or the back. Normally these cases would retail for about $70, but all three colors which includes Titanium Silver, Satin Silver, and Champagne Gold are all on sale for around $22 on Amazon. If you want some protection but don’t want to take away from the beauty of the phone, the Iron Bumper is worth checking out.
