Google I/O, the annual developer conference for everything Android and Google related starts in just a few short weeks, lasting a couple of days starting on May 28th. The keynote speech tends to be everyone’s favorite part as this is where the biggest Google and Android related news gets announced, discussed and shown off to the world. The keynote will be a long one this year starting at 9:30 am on May 28th and will last for about 2.5 hours, however, this tends to stretch a little past the scheduled time and could very well be the case this year.
The big question for most people is what the keynote could possibly be about. Speculations are already floating that Android M will get its announcement as a brief mention about Android M was seen in a description within the Google I/O 2015 schedule which just went out this morning. Unlike most of the other sessions, there is nothing to be discovered from the keynote description as it only mentions product and platform innovations, and even if Android M does get an announcement there will still be a lot of time left to fill. There will be lots to discuss and experience though, to be sure, as two and a half hours is not exactly short, and this is longer than the scheduled time for the keynote at last year’s event. The keynote will be live streamed so if you aren’t able to attend in person you’ll be able to view it on the web, and we’ll be keeping a live blog of all the stuff that’s happening so you can pick up on the bits and pieces.
