Oppo R7 Plus Spotted At GFXBench Running Android 5.0

Oppo R7 and R7 Plus have been all over the news lately. These two devices have been leaking for a while now, especially the Oppo R7 which has been spotted in images and video numerous times over the last couple of months. Anyhow, the Oppo R7 and R7 Plus were shown off by the company earlier today in official renders, but the company won’t announce these two devices for another week or so. Oppo has already scheduled a press event for May 20 in Beijing where the company plans to announce both the Oppo R7 and R7 Plus handsets.

The Oppo R7 was already certified by TENAA, and we know its specifications, but the Oppo R7 Plus was a mystery, well, until now. The R7 Plus popped up on GFXBench and revealed its specifications, let’s see what this handset has to offer. The Oppo R7 Plus will sport a 5.9-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB (26GB user accessible) of internal storage. This handset will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6795M octa-core processor running at 1.9GHz along with a Power VR Rogue G6200 GPU for graphics. The 8-megapixel camera is listed both on front and back of this device and you can also expect an LED flash to be located next to the device’s rear-facing snapper. According to GFXBench, the Oppo R7 Plus will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed, while the Oppo R7 was certified running Android 4.4 KitKat. This seems quite odd, one would expect these two devices will sport the same version of the software. It is, of course, possible that Oppo plans to include the Android 5.0 Lollipop on Oppo R7 as well before they launch the device. One thing is for sure though, both of these devices will ship with Oppo’s Color OS on top of Google’s Android operating system.

The Oppo R7 will feature 3 capacitive buttons below the display, while the Oppo R7 Plus which we’ve talked about here, will offer on-screen buttons.
