The LG G4 has been launched back in April, and it has the potential of being one of the best smartphones of the year. This handset resembles the LG G3 in terms of general design, but the G4 is somewhat different. The G4, unlike the G3, sports a slight curved, and comes in various back cover variants including leather, ceramic and plastic. The phone also sports a somewhat thicker chin than its predecessor, and of course bumped up specs.
This handset has been available in a number of markets for some time now, and it was reported a while back that it will reach India later this month. Well, LG India has just confirmed when will that happen. The company has said that the phone will launch in the country on June 19, and the launch event will happen in Mumbai. LG India has actually confirmed this via an advertisement in the newspaper, along with confirming that the handset will offer two SIM card slots.
The LG G4 sports a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Quantum LCD display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). LG’s flagship is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor which ships with an Adreno 418 GPU for graphics processing. The 16-megapixel OIS camera (f/1.8 aperture) is located on the back of this handset and flanked by a dual-LED (dual tone) flash and the Laser Autofocus. The 8-megapixel snapper is available on the front side of the device, and the phone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed with LG’s very own UX 4.0 on top of it. The 3,000mAh removable battery on the inside and 4G LTE connectivity is available here as well. The LG G4 measures 148.9 x 76.1 x 9.8mm and weighs 155 grams.
If you’d like to pre-order the LG G4 in India, you can already do that. Keep in mind that LG is taking pre-orders until June 15, with the launch event happening on June 19. If you pre-order the G4, you’ll get a Metallic Finish Back Cover inside the box, as well as one-time free screen replacement in case you break it. That’s not all, you’ll also get an extra battery with a charging cradle inside the packaging as well. These are some compelling offers by LG in order to get you to pre-order their flagship. Either way, we’ll report back when the device launches.
