Meizu is one of the fastest growing Chinese smartphone OEMs. This company has released a couple of really solid smartphones last year, and they managed to increase their sales significantly thanks to that. Meizu will be launching their new flagship later today, the Meizu MX5, a device which has been leaking like crazy in the last couple of weeks. This handset is said to sport a metal build, a physical home button below the display, and quite a powerful set of specs. Anyhow, as we’re waiting for the device to launch, we have a new Meizu-related leak to share with you, read on.
We’re almost 100% sure that Meizu will be announcing the MX5 later today, but it seems like that might not be the only device this Chinese smartphone OEM plans to announce. We’ve see a couple of leaks regarding a Meizu-branded Power Bank in the past, and a new one surfaced in China quite recently. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll see what we’re talking about. The pictured device is allegedly Meizu’s upcoming Power Bank, and a really interesting looking one at that. The device features two-color design, and the it’s rounded on the edges. The overall design is very sleek and interesting, and it is possible we’ll see this thing launched today as well. We still don’t know how big the battery is on the inside, but it’s probably somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000mAh.
Looking at the device, you’ll notice the micro USB and a regular USB port for charging, as well as a couple of LED lights which will tell you how much juice is left in this Power Bank. That’s more or less it, all we have to do now is wait for Meizu’s event and see what will the company announce. As most of you probably know already, we’ll be covering this event live in Beijing, so you can expect plenty of coverage. Meizu MX5 will launch for sure, the Meizu-branded Power Bank is a possibility, and who knows, perhaps Meizu throws something else out there. Either way, stay tuned for more info, we’ll report back soon.
