Meizu MX5 is one of the most leaked phones in the last couple of weeks. Meizu MX4‘s successor has been popping up left and right for quite some time now, and we have plenty of info when it comes to this device. First and foremost, it’s worth mentioning that the MX5 will be announced on June 30th, the company has already scheduled an event and sent out invites. Meizu’s upcoming flagship has already been certified by TENAA, and has popped up on both Geekbench and GFXBench, and we’ve also seen it showcased both in pictures and video content.
That being said, a new set of MX5 renders has surfaced online. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice quite a few renders of the device. These renders are made based off of leaks we’ve seen thus far, and it’s quite probable that this it he final design of the device (or at least similar to it). The Meizu MX5 will be made out of metal (confirmed), and a physical home button will be located below the display. That home button will quite probably double as a fingerprint scanner, and the device itself resembles its predecessor a whole lot, and other Meizu-branded devices as well for that matter.
The Meizu MX5 will feature a 5.5-inch 108op (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (other storage variants are quite probable). The device will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) 64-bit octa-core processor, though keep in mind that the Exynos chip has also been mentioned, so this isn’t exactly certain at this point. The 3,150mAh battery has also been mentioned in various listing, and the device will also sport a 20-megapixel snapper on its back. The 5-megapixel shooter will be available up front, and Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed on this smartphone with Meizu’s Flyme UI on top of it. 4G LTE connectivity will be a part of this package as well, while the device will measure 146 x 74.6 x 7.9mm, and weight 147 grams. That’s more or less it. The announcement will take place on June 30 in China, and we’ll be there to cover the event live.
