Meizu has been all over news articles lately. Not only did the company announce their M2 Note handset a week ago, but we’ve also seen a number of leaks regarding their upcoming devices. Our sources at the company have said that Meizu intends to hold yet another event before the end of this month, and it seems like they’re getting ready to announce a new smartphone. The Meizu MX5, MX5 Pro and M2 have been leaking recently, so the question is, which one will get announced this month?
Well, Meizu MX5 and MX5 Pro have been leaking intensively for the last couple of weeks, even months, and we haven’t seen much Meizu M2 leaks thus far. A couple of days ago, the phone did leak however, and that’s the first leak we’ve seen. Well, a new leak popped up today, and this time around we get a lot more info. According to the source, Meizu M2 will feature a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 2GB of RAM. The device will be fueled by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor along with a Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel camera will be located on the back of this smartphone, and you’ll be able to find a 5-megapixel shooter up front. The aforementioned MediaTek SoC supports both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE 4G networks.
There you have it folks, these are the alleged specs of the Meizu M1 successor. It is possible that Meizu intends to launch this thing before the end of this month, and not the MX5 / MX5 Pro. Why? Well, the M1 Note launched back in December, and its successor arrived earlier this month. The Meizu M1 launched in January, so it’s possible that Meizu intends to launch the M2 before the end of June, it makes sense. There’s always a possibility Meizu will release their flagship(s) though, we’ll just have to wait and see. Anyhow, according to some earlier rumors, the Meizu M2 might cost somewhere between 599 and 699 Yuan.
